Guiding me Out of Darkness
'>
![]() Medium: Print Making / Ink / Watercolor
Created: Feb. 27. 2018
This piece was inspired by a poem that a friend had written. Within the poem, the author describes a time that she was in darkness and depression. She goes on to describe that she had someone who she looked up to and guide her out of the hard times. I found that story very relatable, maybe not to those extremes, but those situations are common and I wanted to express the hope that the poem gave off, for all of those people who are suffering.
Branches of Generations![]() Medium: Pen and Ink
Created: Sep. 22. 2017.
It all started with a branch that had a very interesting and intriguing design to it. It reminded me of the different parts in a generation and how everyone branched off from one another, to ultimately create a large and inclusive family tree. Then, I found a perceptive that reflected my idea and I started to draw. Starting with the basic shape and masses throughout the piece. Then, I went into more detail with the shape of each leaf, berry and branch. Finally, went over the whole piece with pen, only focusing on the line and not the value. After it was all drawn in, I added a bit of extra flare, by adding strips of colored paper around the edges. Thus, creating a better eye flow and it helped to centralize the piece itself .

Streets of London![]() Medium: Watercolor Pencil
Created: Jan. 18, 2018
Streets of London was created based off of a photo that was taken by a family member when they went to London with friends. They found these buildings as interesting as I found them. The harmony of the colors, from the greens in the building to the trees in the distance, creates an sense of atmosphere that is very appealing.
Defying lines of Fall![]() Medium: Oil Pastel/ Acrylics
Created: Nov. 2, 2017
Defying Lines of Fall was created during the time when the beautiful and vibrant season started. The pumpkins, falling leaves from the sun-beaten trees and the colorful sunsets inspired me to create this piece. I wanted to express this gorgeous season in a different way, so I created the iconic images of Fall with origami and drew them.

Lord I Need You
Medium: Clay Created: May 16, 2018 This piece was inspired by the music I frequently listen to, Christian Pop. It was created as a representation of how many people feel, wanting the love of God in their side. However, many seem to forget that God is always by their side. Sometimes, God is in front of them, guiding them through their struggles. Rather than next to for behind them. Additionally, in the back of the piece there is a hole that is a place for your phone. With all the holes around the perimeter of the pottery, they help to amplify the sound of your choice.
